With Sharon, my wife-of-35-years, we've lived in Hickory Hills since 1992. We have been blessed with 4 wonderful children & 4 grandchildren. We're proud of the responsible adults our kids have become, including their military & 1st responder service. We enjoy travel, camping, hiking, sports, time with family/friends and staying involved in our community & churches. We look forward to additional adventures on the horizon.
Carl has been part of this community for over three decades as a concerned and involved resident. Carl has volunteered & held leadership positions at various local non-for-profit, charitable, civic, religious and political organizations.
Carl's community service includes but not limited to: Chicago Public Schools - WITS Volunteer & Playground Pilots, Bridgeview Sports Club Assn. – Coach & Board Member, The Greater Chicago Food Depository, WTMX Eric & Kathy Children’s Memorial Radiothon, James Jordan Boys & Girls Club, YMCA Adventure/Indian Guides, School District 230 (Amos Alonzo Stagg), School District 117 (Conrady, Glen Oaks, Dorn), Hickory Hills Police Pension Board, Palos Stars Football & Cheerleading, Hickory Hills Little League, Hickory Hills Park District, American Overseas Medical Assoc.
Thanks for visiting my website and I look forward to your support in the upcoming election on April 4, 2023.
Some have asked "why did you decide to run for Moraine Valley School Board?"
MVCC is a valuable asset to the SW suburbs. In fact, as a father of 4 now-adult sons, the majority of our family has benefited directly from MVCC resources. When I was asked about running for MVCC School Board Trustee, my initial reaction was to reject the invitation. I'm enjoying retirement, including more family-time, fewer scheduling restrictions on travel & camping, and a few interesting part-time jobs. However, recent news reports changed my mind; some schools appear to be falling prey to questionable "progressive" curriculum changes and excessive concern about diversity, equity and inclusion while softening education standards.
If elected, I'll be your eyes and ears at MVCC. I'll support policies & educators that continue the college's history of providing SW suburban residences with a quality, unbiased education. I'll oppose policies that put ideology over facts, diversity over meritocracy, and suppression over debate. If these views resonate with you, please help get elected to the MVCC/District 524 School Board.
Thank you.
