Sorry for the delay.
In late May, JB's dems arrogantly changed a Child Welfare bill into an election interference law, to stop some candidates' 2024 campaigns. We sued JB & won! JB's dems appealed to the IL Supreme Court. It took 2 months, but on 8/23 the Court rejected JB's appeal.
Now, finally, let's win this race!!
"So here we are. The positions of Crawford, CEO of the nonprofit Chicago School, are conventionally Democratic, emphasizing “full funding” of schools, for example. Kunz’s policies, by contrast, are in line with many Republicans. For example, he backs reinstating cash bail, which the SAFE-T Act eliminated, and halting all spending on undocumented immigrants.
This is an intriguing district, given that it represents areas as disparate as South Side neighborhoods like Englewood, Wrightwood and Auburn Gresham and parts of southwest suburbs like Oak Lawn, Evergreen Park and Hickory Hills. We’re not fans of how Crawford got the Democratic nod, and Kunz would be a solid choice.
Carl Kunz is endorsed."
Illinois Family Action (IFA) recently notified me, after reviewing both candidate's backgrounds & platforms, they've endorsed my candidacy over my opponent. I'm grateful for IFA's efforts to promote moral public policies & their support for my candidacy.
There are significant differences between me and my opponent on social issues (see adjacent Candidate Comparison). If these issues are also important to you, please vote accordingly on Nov 5, 2024. With backing from IFA and you, I'll bring a conservative Christian perspective to Springfield (which is sorely lacking!).
The United Hellenic Voters of America has released their list (click HERE) of endorsed candidates running for local and state offices. UHVA’s Board of Directors gather to hear the candidates speak, conduct their own personal research, and vote on each candidate. UHVA does not utilize party as criteria for the endorsement as the grass roots of our organization stands on the platform of non-partisanship. Our motto is “People. Not Party.” UHVA serves as the central hub between the Greek-American Community and the politicians and provide our community with perspective candidates that will lead our state and nation into success and stability.
UHVA seeks to endorse candidates with a track record of positive accomplishments in their community and how they plan on utilizing their candidacy should they be elected in bettering the community, state, nation and/or Greece/Greek community. Candidates are also vetted regarding their position with respect to current social and economic issues affecting the State of Illinois, the U.S., and Greece/Greek-Americans. An endorsed candidate will prove their ability to understand the current socio-economic issues affecting the American people. Candidates are also judged on their professionalism at the UHVA endorsement session,
Thanks for visiting our website and for your support. Many have asked "why did you decide to get involved in politics? Isn't the goal to enjoy retirement?"
I was enjoying retirement, including more family-time, fewer scheduling restrictions on travel & camping plus a few interesting part-time jobs. However, I've become increasingly frustrated by IL legislators enacting laws contrary to IL voters' wishes. The more flagrant examples include the repeal of the Parental Notification Act (PNA) in 2021 and passage of the SAFE-T Act in 2022. Realizing IL legislators aren't representing their constituents' views in Springfield, I decided (rather than complain) to just get involved.
Regardless of your political affiliations or opinions, we can all agree IL is NOT on a good path. Crime is on the rise, education quality continues to decline, property taxes are sky-high & parents' rights continue to be ignored. There's NO check & balance on JB Pritzker's reckless "progressive" agenda. SOMEONE has to tell him we want better for Illinois. I'm prepared to go to Springfield & tell JB enough is enough!!!
We'd be grateful for any assistance you could offer to help Carl get elected! There are a number of ways you (our neighbors/ constituents) can help...
